Research and Translation of abstract by Melanie D. Holtz, CG:
"Ecclesiastical Marriage Record of Bartolomeo Zampella and Caterina Varrone 22 
February 1770…united in marriage the widower Bartolomeo Zampella, son of the
deceased Carlo [Zampella], from the village of Centurano, jurisdiction of Caserta, and 
the widow Caterina Varrone, daughter of the deceased Domenico, from the village of 
Garzano, jurisdiction of Caserta…before the witnesses: Bartolomeo Brignola, Luca di 
Cuonto [?], and Giovanni Vitale, all of this village…[see Sttachment 4]. FN4
COMMENT: Both the bride and groom had been married before. The Zampellas came 
from the village of Centurano. As was Italian custom, they were married in
the bride’s parish in Garzano. The diocesan archives did not have the records for 
Centurano.
