WILLlAM BARDOLF, son of William Bardolf (b), (who died 1275) of Wormegay, 
Norfolk, and Shelford, Notts, &C., was summoned to attend the King at Shrewsbury 28 
June 1283 by writ directed Willelmo Bardolf. He married Julian, daughter and heir of 
Hugh DE GOURNAY, of Mapledurham, Oxon. He died 1 December 1289. His widow

(b) This William was son and heir of Doun Bardolf, by Beatrice, daughter and heir of 
William de Warenne, of Wormegay aforesaid, which Doun or Dodo Bardolf was son 
and heir of Thomas Bardolf by Rose, daughter of Ralph Hauselyn.

William Bardolf, doing homage, had livery of his lands lying in the counties of 
Leicester, Lincoln, Nottingham, Norfolk, and Sussex, and soon after obtained charters 
for fairs and markets to be holden at his different manors. He m. Julian, dau., of Hugh 
de Gurnay, and dying before 1292, was s. by his son, Hugh Bardolf. [Sir Bernard
