ANNETTE J. MERCER, 65, BANK TELLER FOR 19 YEARS
Annette J. (Scaringi) Mercer, 65, wife of Allen H. Mercer Jr., of Ridge Road, Spring 
City, died Saturday in Phoenixville Hospital, Phoenixville. Born in Phoenixville, she 
was a daughter of the late Thomas and Jennie (Zappone) Scaringi. Mrs. Mercer was a 
bank teller for 19 years with PNC Bank, Pottstown, until retiring. She was a graduate 
of Phoenixville High School where she was a member of the National Society. She 
was a member of St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Phoenixville. In addition 
to her husband, she is survived by one son, Richard Mercer of Phoenixville; one 
daughter, Renee Miller of Birdsboro; two brothers, Louis Scaringi of Bowie, Maryland, 
and Daniel Scaringi of Coatesville; two sisters, Theresa, wife of Andrew Yednock, of 
Phoenixville, and Dolores, wife of John Butler, of Lebanon, New Jersey; four 
grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was 
preceded in death by one sister, Annmarie Suzenski; and two brothers, Joseph 
Scaringi and Thomas Scaringi. Relatives and friends are invited to attend funeral 
services on Wednesday at 9:30 a.m. at the Devlin-Rosmos-Kepp Funeral Home Inc., 
Main Street and Fourth Avenue, Phoenixville. A funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 
a.m. Wednesday at St. Mary of the Assumption Catholic Church, Dayton and St. 
Mary's streets, Phoenixville. The Rev. Thomas J. Brennan will officiate. Burial will be 
in St. Mary's Black Rock Cemetery, Phoenixville. Friends may call from 8:30 to 9:30 
a.m. Wednesday at the funeral home.
