BARONY OF STRANGE OF KNOKYN (V)

ROGER (LESTRANGE), LORD STRANGE, son and heir, aged 22 or 23 at his father's 
death. He was summoned to Parliament from 20 September 1355 to 9 August 1382 as 
Roger Lestraunge or Straunge, with or without the addition of "de Knokyn". He served 
in France in his father's place until 1351. He was frequently in commissions for Salop 
from 1351 until his death. He married, in or before 1338, Aline or Alaine, daughter of 
Edmund (FITZALAN), EARL OF ARUNDEL, by Alice, daughter of William DE 
WARENNE [only son and heir apparent of John, 7th EARL OF SURREY]. He died 23 
August 1382 at "Kenewyleswode" in the March of Wales. His widow died 20 January
