OLEY Susan
Birth: 1740
Notes
Oley originally Ohlig?
So who is this: 2 Aug 1799 New York Gazette: "DIED, early on Tuesday morning, of a
lingering illness, Mrs. Jane Weyman, wife to Abner Weyman, salesman, of this city-- By
this stroke of Divine Providence, a family is left to bemoan the loss of one who was
loving, tender, and affectionate; and their friends who endeared them."
There are legal notices in Feb 1804 in the NY papers about property owned by Abner
Weyman, deceased, but that also say "now occupied by the widow Weyman." So
Jane isn't this Abner's wife. Whose??? And its address is closeby and sometimes
mentioned in ads by Abner Jr.
But would this not be the Jane Evans who married Abner in 1781 in London?
Remember they emigrated from London.
