RIVERSIDE GLORIA JOAN FURLAN Age 84, resident of Riverside for 47 years, 
passed away May 11, 2010. Gloria was born in Chicago, IL. She was employed by 
McMahons Furniture long ago and retired from UCR as a Library Secretary. She 
worked for the Dept. of the Navy and Veterans Hospital during WWII. Gloria was a 
member and volunteer at St. Catherine's, member of the Italian Catholic Federation 
and TOPS Club. Gloria will be missed by her daughter, Margo Miley and husband 
Dave; sons, Mark Furlan and wife Kathy and David Furlan and wife Dana; 5 
grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; and many dear friends and relatives, especially 
her Cianciulli and DiGuglielmo families. She was preceded in death by her husband, 
Arthur "Rocky" Furlan, the "Bike Man" of Riverside Avenue. Visitation 05/13 from 5-
8m with Vigil at 6:30pm at Acheson & Graham Memorial Chapel. Mass on 05/14, 10am 
at St. Catherine Catholic Church with interment following Mass at Riverside National
