Donna attended Sacred Heart Elementary School in Royersford, Pa. She graduated 
from St. Pius X High School in Pottstown, Pa. Donna attended Kutztown University, 
Kutztown, Pa. In 1971 she entered the Community of the Sisters of St. Joseph. Donna 
received a B.S. degree in Education from Chestnut Hill College, Philadelphia, Pa. She 
left the community to take a teaching position in Washington, D.C. She completed 
work on her Masters degree in Reading Education in 1981.
Donna is a schoolteacher.
Donna and Jon reside in Frederick, Md.

Mrs. Donna DiGuiseppe West, 60, of Frederick, passed away peacefully on Monday, 
March 26, 2012.

Born on December 31, 1951 in Royersford, Pennsylvania, she was a daughter of Ann 
Marie DiGuiseppe of Royersford, and the late Mario D. DiGuiseppe.

She touched many lives as a dedicated teacher for over 37 years, most recently in the 
Frederick County School System.

She is survived by her husband of 30 years, John C. West and her children, John T. 
West of Frederick, MD and Julianne West of Sterling, VA. Her siblings, Angela 
Campion of Annville, PA; Judi Cuffney of Honeoye Falls, NY; Mario DiGuiseppe of 
Corydon, IN; Annmarie Tefft of Collegeville, PA; and Thomas DiGuiseppe of 
Bechtelsville, PA.

At the family’s request, there will be no viewing. The family will receive friends on 
Saturday, March 31, where a Memorial Mass will begin at 10 AM, at St. Joseph’s on 
Carrollton Manor, 5843 Manor Woods Rd., Adamstown, with Father Lawrence Frasier 
officiating.

There will be a reception following the mass at Brook Hill United Methodist Church 
from 11:30 AM to 2 PM.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in Donna West’s memory 
to the Frederick Memorial Hospital Regional Cancer Therapy Center, 501 W. Seventh 
St., Frederick, MD 21701.

Arrangements are by Stauffer Funeral Home, Frederick and Stauffer Crematory, Inc.
