"Mama" Romeo, a wonderful cook who ran Romeo's Grill with her husband Alfred in 
Birmingham, Alabama for many years. After Alfred died, the original location lost its 
lease, but Evelyn reopened the business as Romeo's Italian Restaurant on 7th Avenue 
South with the help of their sons, Herb and Ernie. After she died, this restaurant also 
lost its lease and moved to 3324 Clairmont Avenue, where it closed in the late 1990's.
