Wayne R. Ransom, 34, of Hammonton, N.J., died Monday in Kessler Memorial 
Hospital, Hammonton, after being stricken while playing softball. He was a district 
sales manager for Combined Insurance Company of America for 12 years, and received 
the Ring of Diamonds Award for sales excellence. He was sales manager of the year 
in 1977 and district manager of the year in 1982. Ransom was a son of Rita L. (Rodio) 
Ransom of Allentown and the late J. Orville Ransom Jr. Surviving with his mother are a 
son, Wayne R. Jr. of Egg Harbor City, N.J.; a brother James and a sister, Mrs. Karen 
Caruso, both of Hammonton.
