long-term relationship
in Obit of Antoinette Rodia, Kathleen's husband described as Larry Thompson, so
perhaps Thompson is not her maiden name (it is not, it is the surname of her husband
Lawrence, who she married after the two girls were born). Per her fb page she married
Lawrence (Larry) Thompson 22 May 1974.
per obituary of her mother Mildred Jordan Thompson, her husband Lawrence had a
brother William, who is the father of Autumn Thompson Mansor, thus Autumn is a step
first cousin to Alfred Rodia's daughters. (I know Autumn from church). The children of
Autumn and John Mansor are thus step second cousins to Alfred Rodia's
grandchildren

Kathleen Sue Thompson
OBITUARY
Kathleen Sue “Kathy” Thompson (neé Crowding), of Collingdale, PA, passed away at
the age of 81 on Tuesday, February 25, 2025, surrounded by family and love.
Born in Philadelphia and raised in Upper Darby, Kathy came from a large family and
was the last surviving of 9 children born to the late William T. and Jean (McKillip)
Crowding. She loved to tell stories about growing up with an abundance of chaos,
love, and hand-me-downs. Her most treasured memories included her sister/best
friend, the late Linda Keksz.
Kathy met her husband of 48 years, the late Lawrence “Larry” Thompson III, while
working at O’Hagan’s Bar. They settled in Collingdale and Kathy dedicated her life to
raising and supporting family, friends, and the community. She was known for her
generous nature, home-cooked meals, and home-brewed iced tea. She also had a
special love for animals and frequently rescued injured wildlife.
Kathy was also a talented but modest artist. She loved drawing/painting, sewing,
mosaics, and other various crafts. She enjoyed art classes at the Schoolhouse Senior
Center in Folsom and didn’t think it was possible to own too many craft supplies!
Kathy had many interests but her world was centered around her family. She was a
proud Mom to 4 daughters and Grammy to 8 grand- and 3 great-grandchildren. She
was happiest spending time with family and will be dearly missed for her warm hugs,
unwavering support, the way she sang to her family every day, and her endless ability
to make people laugh, even at her own expense.
In addition to her parents, siblings, and husband, Kathy was preceded in death by her
daughters Gigette and Antoinette Rodia and granddaughter Tiffany Dodson. She is
survived by her daughters Kim Thompson and Lorraine (Bill) Stroup, her grandchildren
Brianna (Dan) Harold, Sabrina and Tiara Rodia, Tabitha Dodson, Liam Thompson,
Riley and Christian Stroup and great-grandchildren Kole, Jackson and Madison Harold.
