Israel was a lumber merchant, remaining in the business started by his father and 
uncle.
	Israel and Martha lived most of their lives in Phila., Pa.
	In her will, Martha left to her son Francis a silver sugar bowl, to her son 
Samuel a silver cream jug, to all her children silver spoons, to her daughter Elizabeth 
her clothing and some of her jewelry, to Elizabeth's daughter Elizabeth a gold watch 
and chain, and to Samuel's wife Jane the rest of her jewelry. She also left 
considerable sums of money to her children.

6 Feb 1845 Phila Public Ledger: "Partnership Proposed-- Israel Maule has this day 
associated with him Edward Maule, in the lumber business, which will hereafter be 
conducted at the old stand, Schuylkill Sixth Street, between Spruce and Pine, under 
the firm of Maule & Brother."
