There was an Edward Grimston who was a diplmat in the service of Henry VI. His 
portrait done in 1446 by Petrus Christus.
An inquiry on rootsweb about a portrait of Edward Grimston 1509-1599 refers to a 
portrait of his great grandfather... which must be the 1446 one (great grandfather was 
1422-1478)
The Grimstons came from Yorkshire, per an online book about medieval English 
houses and their architects. Went to Suffolk in the pay of the de la Pole family. 
Found it!!
