NOTE: I have removed Iseult from her marriage to Henry Biset, as Magna Carta
Ancestry, p. 506, states that Henry's wife was Iseult, daughter of Roger Pantolf, of
Abkettleby, Leics, and that Iseult & Henry had a son William, b. c1195. This Iseult
would presumably be still m. to Walter de Tateshale in 1195. Therefore I assume that
Henry Biset's wife is a different Iseult Pantulf.
He [Amauri de St. Amand] married 2ndly, between July 1214 and Dec. 1222, as her
5th husband, Iseult, daughter of William PANTULF of Breedon, Leics (died 1194), by
Joan, daughter of Piers de GOLDINGTON and Eve his wife, and (perhaps after the
death s.p. of a brother) her father's coheir and ultimately heir (b). [Complete Peerage
XI:295-6, (transcribed by Dave Utzinger)]
(b) This lady had married, presumably in the order following,
(i) Hugh de Munpincun, who may have been dead in 1186, when Clemence, daughter
of William de Munpincun appears to have been a ward of the King;
(ii) Walter, son of Robert de Tateshale, in her right lord of Breedon, Leics, by whom
she was ancestress of the Lords Tateshale. Walter d. 1199 or 1200;
(iii) by May 1200, as a later wife, Henry, son and heir of Manasser Biset. Henry d.
before 4 Apr 1211;
(iv) by 4 Apr 1211, as a later wife, Walter de Baskerville, who was dead in Oct 1213;
(v) Amauri de St. Amand, as above.
Her son and heir Robert de Tateshale undertook payment of her debts, and orders
were consequently made in 1223 and 1228, which would normally connote her death;
but as late as 1267 she was still prosecuting her rights of dower, &c. against her
grandson Robert de Tateshale.

Walter DE TATESHAL m. Iseult, daughter and eventually heir of William PANTULF, of
Breedon-on-the-Hill, Leicester (d). [Complete Peerage XII/1:648]
(d) "CP", vol xi, p. 296, note "b" sub Saint Amand, where details of Iseult's 5
marriages are given, Walter de Tateshal being the 2nd husband; but the 3rd and 4th
are transposed in order, Walter de Baskerville being the 3rd and Henry Biset the 4th,
for on 26 Mar 1215 "Isolda (Iseult)" formerly wife of Walter de Baskerville, is
mentioned. Moreover this Iseult cannot be the Iseult living in "1267", as she was dead
about 1222. She brought Breedon and the patronage of Langley Priory, Leics., to the
Tateshal family. In 1217 she confirmed gifts to Langley (which had been made by her
grandfather William Pantulf and her grandmother Burga, who had 3 sons William,
Roger and Philip.
NOTE: The note (d) from a later volume of CP above states that Walter de Baskerville
should be 3rd (not 4th) husband and Henry Biset should be 4th, aft. 26 Mar 1215, (not
3rd, which also requires a change in the death date given in XI:296 (b)).
