Sir William Mallory, of Shawbury, 2nd son (by 3rd marriage), b. c 1375, d. 1445, 
probably at Shelton, Beds, or at Papworth; m. (1) unknown wife (perhaps a Papworth 
descendant); m. (2) Margaret, who may have been a relative of Giles de Erdington.

Note: The whole pedigree in this area is in question. William's birth date could be 
1381 or some say even 1386, given the probable marriage date of his mother. William 
inherited Papworth after 1416, not because of his wife, but from some unknown prior 
Papworth ancestor. Some are saying that William was 2nd husband of Margaret, wife 
of Robert Corbet, not her father, which would explain why they held Shawbury 
together.

I will leave William's 1st wife as "Perhaps a Papworth" even though it is probably 
wrong (but sourced) and the 1st wife is unknown. His 2nd wife is Margaret, widow of 
Robert Corbet.
