according to "Swiss Emigrants in the 18th Century" he was age 44 on arrival and wife 
age 46, which would make him b 1699 and wife b 1697
wife's name spelled Grugis
Children were Jacob 21, Rudolph 18, Anna 14, Margreth 12, Elizabeth 8, Verena, 5 
[note that also in 1743 there arrived a Johannes Epprecht with his wife Verena Walder 
and one little child, and on the ship were a Heirj Epprecht and Conrad Epprecht, the 
latter being described as boy under age]
per Louis Middlebrook, "The Ship Mary of Philadelphia, 1740" in Pa Mag of Hist and 
Bio vol 58:2 (apr 1934) indexed on ancestry.com, he arrived with wife, and children 
aged 20, 14, 7, 4, 12, 18. Anna would be the 7 year old? Michael Tepper, "Emigrants 
to Penna 1641-1819 ... " says arrived 1743

[so if Hans Heinrich is a cousin of Rudolph, then Rudolph's father is a brother of Hans 
Heinrich's father Jacob (1662-1756) who md Verena Widler (also called Johannes). 
Jacob is the son of Jost Epprecht and Judith Gross. But Hans Heinrich is born 1721, 
so it's more likely that Rudolph is a cousin of Jacob. That would make Rudolph's 
father a brother of Jost/Joose Epprecht.
