Leo van de Pas, citing ES, has Archambaud IV's marriage to Beliarde dated 1074 
(which fits well with Aymon/Aimon. However Leo has Ermengarde as a daughter of this 
marriage, and she was married for the first time in 1070 (If my arithmetic is correct that 
is 4 years prior to her parents marriage.). This impossible situation is coupled with the 
fact that this is Archambaud IV and the next Archambaud is VII ("VII" according to 
Leo/ES, but "VI" according to Thierry Stasser), and there is no indication of where 
Archambaud V is.

I feel that there is a strong indication that:

1) Archambaud IV was married to Philippa d'Auvergne (as found on World Connect).
. . This couple had Ermengarde who was married in 1070.
2) Archambaud V was the one married in 1074 (probably to Beliarde)
. . This couple had Aimon/Aymon who was born c. 1080.

That is the way I am making my line go. My "proper" sources seem to fail at this point.

Another way of looking at the situation is that I am inserting another generation of 
Archambaud into the line. This new Archambaud is actually Archambaud IV who 
married Philippa d'Auvergne and was father of another Archambaud plus a daughter 
named Ermengarde. It was this Ermengarde who didn't fit into the way that Leo/ES 
portrayed the Bourbon family line. Nobody who lived during the time that these 
Bourbons lived used the numbers, they just called each Archambaud "the elder' or 
"the younger", or just "Archambaud", which is why it so hard to tell how many 
individual Archambauds existed, in a series where all of the fathers and sons are 
named the same.

Note: I am taking the death date that Leo/ES gives Archambaud III (grandfather of 
Aymon/Aimon), and giving it to my Archambaud IV, as I have "IV" as the grandfather 
of Aymon/Aimon. However I am reusing Leo/ES's souce of the "Archambaud IV" name 
as father of Ermengarde.
