Note: JOHN LE SCROPE, 2nd but 1st surviving son and heir apparent, was King's 
Esquire, 12 July 1446, when he and others had a pardon. He married Margaret, 
daughter of Thomas (DACRE), 6th LORD DACRE OF GILSLAND, by Philippe, 3rd 
daughter of Ralph (NEVILLE), EARL OF WESTMORLAND. He died s.p. and v.p. 18 
September 1452, and was buried in York Minster. His wife survived him. [Complete
