Sir James Chudleigh, Knt., b. between 1337-1340 (of age in 1361), 1358 held Ashton 
as a minor, d. 1401 or later; m. as (1) husband, Agnes, d. aft. 1433, daughter of Sir 
Richard Champernoun. She m. (2) by 1403/4 John de Courtney said to have d. by 29 
July 1406. [Ancestral Roots, line 217-36]

The marriage with John de Courtney, indicated above, does not agree with Line 51-34, 
which has John de Courtney's wife as Joan Champernoun, dau of Alexander. Agnes 
may have been a later marriage, or, since this line is seriously flawed as noted in the 
next generation where it originally had Petronell b 1457 married to Anthony b 1481 
(and bearing his children), Agnes may be a mistake as well. Note that the line 
concerning Petronell was corrected by adding 2 missing generations.
