He [Stephen de Meinill] married Joan de Ros (l). He was apparently dead by 1188.

(l) This seems clear from the case of 1203, where Walter de Ros is described as uncle 
of Robert de Meinill (the Third); Walter's grant to Kirkham Priory being confirmed by 
his brother Piers, and by Robert de Ros, the chief lord.

Note: According to several internet sources Robert & Sibyl had sons named Walter & 
Piers (who was Archdeacon of Carlisle), in addition to the heir, Everard.
