The following is copied from the UK Public Records Office (PRO-CAT), dated 16 
Edward II (ca. 1323):

Robert le Bret to grant two-thirds of a messuage and land in Holwell (Somerset, now 
Dorset), and the reversion of the other third now held by Joan late the wife of Richard 
le Bret, to the abbot and convent of Abbotsbury, to provide a chaplain in the 
conventual church, retaining a messuage and land at Wythok and land and rent at 
Winterbourne St. Martin (Dorset). Dorset.

The following is copied from the UK Public Records Office (A2A), Somerset Archive, 
dated 13th century and early 14th century:

By Richard le Bret, of Weston to Richard his son of two virgates of land in the fields 
of Weston (near Bath).

Note: I don't know yet if this Richard is the son or the father, but probably one of the 
two.
