WITTINGSET (Whissonsett, Norfolk)

Peter (son of Sir Peter) Buzun was lord in the 19th of Edward I. and in 1308, he and
Sarah his wife held the lordship of Yelverton in Norfolk; and of this family were the
Buzuns of Devonshire, who held in the reign of Henry III. certain knights fees of the
honour of Totness .

Obviously the Bozuns of Devonshire do not descend from Peter Bozun himself (a man
becoming lord in 19 Edw I is not typically father of people of age in Hen III), but
Francis Blomefield the above author, indicates that they descend from the same
family, which must be at this point.
