Spree Killer. On the day of November 14, 1950, Ernest Ingenito, angered by his wife Theresa's decision to 
file for divorce and what he perceived as her family's constant meddling, loaded up two pistols and a rifle 
and drove out to her mother's house where he demanded to see his children. In the minutes that followed he 
had shot and killed 5 members of his wife's family, seriously injured his wife and her 9 year old cousin, 
before driving across town to another home owned by the family and attempting to kill two more.

Ingenito was ultimately convicted and sentenced to life in prison. He served only 24 years of that sentence 
before being paroled in 1974. Upon release he quickly found work and lived as a free man for close to two 
decades before being arrested and returned to jail again in 1994. He was tried for the sexual assault of his 
girlfriend's daughter over the course of 7 years beginning when she was 8, but suffered a massive heart 
attack while in custody, and passed away on October 7, 1995 at the age of 71.
