THOMAS S. "POSTAL" PERNA SR., 75, of 118 Vine St. in Hammonton, died Wednesday at his residence.

A retired presser for the National Garment Co. in Hammonton, Mr. Perna was a member of the International 
Ladies' Garment Workers Union. He worked as a crossing guard for the past eight years and was an Army 
veteran of World War II.

Born in Winslow Township, he was a lifelong area resident.

Surviving are his wife, Alice E.; five daughters, Denise A. Rapanaro, Patricia Petersen, Beverly A., all of 
Hammonton, Shirley Passalacqua of Collings Lake, and Alice E. Boyd of Las Vegas, Nev.; a son, Thomas 
S. Jr. of Absecon; a brother, Ralph T. of Rosedale; two sisters, Nellie Camorata, and Anna Maimone, both of 
Hammonton; and five grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at 9:30 a.m. Saturday at St. Martin de Porres Roman Catholic 
Church in Hammonton. Burial will be in Oak Grove Cemetery in Hammonton.

Friends may call after 7 p.m. Friday, and after 8:30 a.m. Saturday at the Carnesale Funeral Home, 202 S. 
Third St. in Hammonton.
