JOSEPH A. VOCI JR., 65, a lifelong South Philadelphia resident who worked for 25 years as a shipping 
supervisor at Philadelphia's Cherry & Co., died Saturday at Pennsylvania Hospital. 

Mr. Voci was a graduate of Bok Vocational Technical High School and served in the Army in Germany 
between 1950 and 1952. After he was in the Army, he began working at Cherry & Co., which formerly 
operated in the 1600 block of Callowhill Street. He retired in the late 1970s. 

Survivors: wife, Anna; daughter, Stephanie DePasquale; brothers, Frank, Sam, Louis, Anthony and Ronald; 
sister, Nettie Garbarino; mother, Carmela, and two grandchildren. 

Services: viewing, 7 to 9:30 p.m. tomorrow and 8:30 a.m. Wednesday, Vincent Gangemi Funeral Home, 
Broad and Wolf Streets, followed by a Mass of Christian Burial, 9:30 a.m., Epiphany Church, 11th and 
Jackson Streets; burial, Holy Cross Cemetery.
