Charles Halfpenny Sr.
Charles Halfpenny Sr., age 68, of Blue Bell, passed away Sunday, Nov. 18 in
Phoenixville Hospital in Phoenixville. He was the beloved husband of 44 years to 
Maryanne F. (nee Maule) Halfpenny.
Born in Philadelphia on February 7, 1939, he was a son to the late Patrick J. and 
Jessie Halfpenny. Charles graduated from LaSalle College High School, Class of 1956, 
and from LaSalle University in 1961. He was a member of St. Helena Catholic Church 
in Blue Bell, and served six years in the Air Force Reserves.
He is survived by four sons: Charles Jr. (Jennifer), John (Mary), David (Lori), and 
Robert (Melissa), along with his 12 grandchildren: Ian, Zachary, Ryan, Jakob, Emilie, 
Paige, Samuel, Jude, Keira, Graham, Luke, and Zoe; a sister, Mina Kyle; and many 
nieces, nephews, cousins, and good friends. A sister, Ellen Halfpenny, preceded him 
in death.
Relatives and friends are invited to participate in his life celebration service that will 
be held at the Boyd-Horrox Funeral Home of East Norriton, 200 West Germantown 
Pike on Tuesday, Nov. 20 from 6 to 9 p.m., and to his funeral mass that will be 
celebrated on Wednesday, Nov. 21 at 11 a.m. in St. Helena Catholic Church, 1399 
DeKalb Pike, Blue Bell.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in his memory
to St. Helena Catholic Church. www.lifecelebration.com.
