"Francis C. Maguire, Jr., 60, of 98 Roberts St., Belle Vernon (Rostraver Township), 
died Monday, Feb. 6, 1995, at 6:45 p.m. in his home.
"Mr. Maguire was born June 1, 1925, in Monessen, a son of the late Francis Maguire, 
Sr. and Lillian Hickey Maguire.
"He was retired from the Wheeling-Pittsburgh Steel Corporation's Coke Plant in 
Monessen, where he had been employed as a maintenance foreman.
"Mr. Maguire had been a resident of the Belle Vernon area for the past 48 years.
"He was a U.S. Navy veteran of World War II.
"Mr. Maguire was a member of St. Sebastian Roman Catholic Church, Belle Vernon; 
Belle Vernon American Legion Post No. 659 and the Bocce Club of the Legion; 
Charleroi BPO Elks; the Mon Valley R.C. Club, and the Wild River Art Club of 
Perryopolis.
"Surviving are his wife, Betty Hornbake Maguire, three daughters, Mr. Richard (Mary) 
Smereczniak of Belle Vernon, Mrs. James (Kathy) Reppert of Speers, and Mrs. Edward 
(Lesa) Hazelbaker of Roscoe; one brother, Thomas Maguire of Philadelphia; three 
sisters, Mrs. Peter (Mary) Kovalsky, Lillian Maguire and Mr.s Jay (Louise) Stark, all of 
Belle Vernon, and five grandchildren.
"A grandson, Eric Smereczniak, is deceased.
"Friends will be received Wednesday from 2 5o 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. in the Leonard J. 
Parzynski Funeral Home, 626 Broad Ave., Belle Vernon."
