First: You might want to check your records of August and September of 2006 (I have notes showing
those dates that you sent -- of information of Rodia family, coming to USA - that you found on Ancestry.com
(not Ellis Island) There is quite a bit regarding Rodia (s)
I took time and located my birth certificate (actually a post card): shows I lived at: 2529 Sartain Street,
Philadephia PA at time of birth.
(The post card shows: 'Certificate of Birth'---Hospital of the woman's Medical College, of Penna. 2121 North

born at home, not hospital.

(special note: on some papers the name Rodia is spelled: Rudia --- which I am sure in not correct This
spelling Rudia is shown on a copy of Certification of Birth that I had sent for in April 1970. I now can see
the error: On the post card of my birth, the name is incorrect and shows as Rudia)
ALSO: I have my parents' marriage (original) certificate.............No: 376758 church: Our Lady of the

1 May 2011, conversation with Mom, she had spoken with Connie Parke, who said that Tony and his
brother Joe had a cousin named Pietro Pasanti (spelling? Pascenti?) ... is it on the Zappone side or the
from 1986 book:
He served in the Italian Army, and played cornet in the Italian Army Band.
Tony came to the United States in 1908. He became a United States citizen on August 26, 1913.
In Italy Tony had been a farmer and a laborer. In the United States, he worked for several years in silk mills
in Birdsboro and Lewistown, Pa., and then moved to Philadelphia, Pa. In Philadelphia he was a lamplighter
for the city.
In Philadelphia, Tony and his family resided in North Philadelphia until the mid 1920s, when they moved to
South Philadelphia. In 1928 they moved to near 61st and Wheeler in Southwest Philadelphia, in 1935 to
2016 So. 65th Street, and in 1943 to Greenway Avenue. In his later years, Tony resided with his daughter
and son-in-law, Clem and John Bobbie, on Lindbergh Boulevard, Philadelphia, Pa.
Tony enjoyed walking, music, reading, and checkers. He played bingo and bocce, and was a weaver.
Tony is buried in Section 59, Range 1, Lot 41, North Grave.
