Marshall Brooks Tellekamp, 59, a pilot, having experienced heavenly moments of
beauty and serenity, while flying air cargo planes internationally by night through
exotic cloud formations and far above the ocean and brilliantly lighted cities, passed
on peacefully December 28, 2017.

He was born January 17, 1958 in Anchorage, Alaska and lived most of his life in
Florida and Blowing Rock, NC.

Marshall's hobby was all about cars, from repairing, (Master Mechanic License) to
being an avid fan of NASCAR. His true passion was flying airplanes.

After graduating from Flight Safety School at Vero Beach, Florida, Marshall went to the
air, flying medical supplies into and out of Winston-Salem, N.C. and flying air traffic
patrol over the city. He continued to fly by becoming a passenger airline pilot for U.S.
Airways. Those were Marshall's happiest days, at the time he was married to Rosalind
Willis, of Winston Salem and Banner Elk, N.C. Together they had one son, a future
graduate summa cum laude from Georgia Tech. Marshall was very proud of his son
and deeply loved him.

Marshall will be especially remembered by those whom he has helped in distressful and
emergency situations. At one time, he was a life guard at a YMCA. Another time he
was a security guard. He has helped friends with medical first aid, some have called
him "Doctor Marshall" others, "Mr. Fix-It." He wanted to be needed. This was his quiet
desire and pleasure in life. He believed in God, recognizing "As the sowing, the
reaping." Rest in peace, knowing your family loved you very much.

Preceding Marshall was his brother, Karl Johann Tellekamp; father, Bram Bernard
Tellekamp; step-father, Harvey Haseltine Scholfield, Jr., grandparents, Kathryn Maule
King and Charles Banks King, Jr., of Miami Beach Florida and Blowing Rock, N.C.
(Since the summer of 1928).

Surviving Marshall are his mother, Helen King Tellekamp-Scholfield; son, Marshall
Brooks Tellekamp, Jr. (Paige); sisters, Juliana Averett (Tim), and Kimberley Isaac
(Megg); step-sister, Lynne Scholfield (Mike); step-brother, Harvey Scholfield; and one
grandchild, Brooks Reed Tellekamp, born December 30, 2017.
Condolences may be mailed to P.O. Box 505, Blowing Rock, NC.
