Raymond E. DeMoss 



Raymond E. DeMoss, of 1264 W. CR 30, Tiffin, died Wednesday, Nov. 30, 2005, at 
St. Francis Nursing Home, Tiffin. 

He was born July 3, 1918, to Forest and Mary E. DeMoss. He graduated from Old Fort 
High School in 1936 and married Virginia A. Zink on Aug. 20, 1939. Virginia preceded 
him in death Aug. 20, 2005, after celebrating their 66th wedding anniversary.
Raymond was a farmer and had been employed as maintenance foreman at the 
General Electric Plant, Tiffin, for 28 years. He was a member of the General Electric 
Quarter Century Club, The Old Fort Lions Club, The Grand Lodge of Free and 
Accepted Masons of Ohio, Tiffin Chapter, and the Gulf to Bay Cooperative. 

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

He is survived by a sister, Donna Ryman of Old Fort, and two brothers, John C. 
DeMoss of Tiffin and Richard Wayne DeMoss of Phoenix, Ariz.

He also is survived by: two sons, Richard (Melissa) of New Riegel and Don A. DeMoss 
(and Betty Baxter) of Tiffin; four grandchildren, Amanda and Michelle DeMoss of Tiffin, 
Raeann DeMoss of Sycamore and Mary DeMoss of New Riegel; six great 
grandchildren; and 11 nieces and nephews.

Services will be held 11 a.m. Saturday at the Engle-Shook Funeral Home in Tiffin. 
Visitation will be 1-5 p.m. Friday at the funeral home. Burial will be in the Pleasant 
Union Cemetery, Old Fort.

In lieu of flowers, the family request contributions may be given to a Christmas charity 
of donor's choice, or to the Old Fort United Methodist Church, Old Fort Lions Club, or 
the St. Francis Chiara Center Activities Fund, Tiffin.
