Constance Dutcher Courtright, 78, of East Woodrow School Road, formerly of 
Richmond, Va., departed this life peacefully at her home in Murfreesboro Sunday, 
June 29, 2003. Mrs. Courtright was born in Richmond, Va., and was the widow of 
Clarence L. Courtright. She was a Baptist and a homemaker. Survivors include a 
daughter, Barbara Alvis of Hopewell, Va.; two sons, Ed Courtright of Murfreesboro, 
N.C., Clarence L. Courtright Jr. of Anaconda, Mont.; devoted daughter-in-law, Dixie 
Courtright; a sister, Natalie D. Riley of Richmond; seven grandchildren, and five 
great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2003 at 
11 a.m. in Westhampton Memorial Park, Richmond, Va., with the Reverend Billy 
Sellers officiating. The family will receive friends at Garrett Funeral Home, Ahoskie, 
from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on Monday, June 30, 2003, and one hour prior to services at 
Westhampton Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations 
be made to University Health Care Hospice, P.O. Box 272, Ahoskie, N.C. 27910.
