Laura Clark Heflen
Edinburgh

 EDINBURGH ? Laura Clark Heflen, 85, of Edinburgh, died at 3 p.m. Thursday at 
Bartholomew County Hospital.

 She was a member of Old Union United Church of Christ, the Ladies Aid Society of 
the church, the Edinburgh chapter of Order of Eastern Star, Delta Theta Tau of 
Columbus, Rural Social Club and the Edinburgh Study Club.

 She was a graduate of Edinburgh High School and the Florence Crittenden School of 
Nursing. She worked in hospitals in Greensburg, Bartholomew County, and Wakeman 
Hospital at Camp Atterbury.

 Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at Eskew-Eaton Funeral Home in Edinburgh 
wiht the Revs. Richard Rensner and Dan Mitchell officiating. Burial will be at Rest 
Haven Cemetery in Edinburgh. Calling will be from 5 to 9 p.m. today at the funeral 
home.

 Memorials may be made to Old Union United Church of Christ.

 Mrs. Heflen was born Sept. 22, 1904, in Nineveh, the daughter of Albert R. and Ida 
F. Rairdon Clark. She was married in 1949 to Henry Kocher. He died in 1962. In 1963 
she was married to Carl Heflen, who died in 1976.

 Surviving are a sister, Marie C. Hall of Columbus; and brothers, C. Ben Clark and 
Albert R. Clark Jr., both of Columbus.

 She was preceded in death by a brother, Floyd Clark.

 Funeral for Laura Clark Heflen, 85, of Edinburgh, was Saturday by Eskew-Eaton 
Funeral Home. The Revs. Richard Renser and Dan Mitchell officiated. Burial was in 
Rest Haven Cemetery. Pallbearers were Paul, Jan and Richard Clark, John Hall, Barry 
Todd and James Tanner.

 She died Thursday.
