Prescott Barnes Nash, 43, beloved husband, father, son, and brother, passed away
peacefully on Saturday, July 10th. An avid sportsman, Prescott brought a fierce
competitive spirit to everything he did, and never wavered in his year-long battle
against cancer. Prescott was a life-long Denver resident and a 1985 graduate of the
Kent Denver School, where he excelled at football and lacrosse, a sport that remained
his passion for the rest of his life. At the University of New Hampshire he was a
member of the Division One lacrosse team and Kappa Sigma fraternity. After
graduation he played for Team Colorado until he went to the Masters and then Super
Masters Team Millennium, which won the Vail Shoot Out in 2009. Prescott passed his
love of lacrosse along to the next generation as a coach for the Denver Lacrosse
Club. His third, fourth and fifth grade teams, which included his sons, Hays and
Grayson, were undefeated division champions for 3 years running. Prescott was the
Western Area Sales Director for ATS Medical, a medical device company based in
Minneapolis, MN. He was a member of St. Gabriel's Church, Cherry Hills Village. He is
survived by his loving wife, Christina Hays Nash, and his legacy will continue through
his sons, Hays and Grayson Nash. He is also survived by his parents Philip and Gail
Nash, sister Alicia Nash Weaver (Thomas), all of Denver, and sister Alexis Nash Ciesla
(David) of Tampa, FL, as well as nieces, nephews, cousins and dedicated friends
throughout the country. A Memorial Service and reception commemorating Prescott's
life will be held at 12noon, Friday, July 16th at St. John's Cathedral, 1350 Washington
Street, Denver, CO 80203. Donations may be made in Prescott's honor to the
