BELLEVUE, Iowa - Raymond L. "Mac" McLean Jr., 81, of Bellevue, died Sunday 
morning, May 11, 1997, at Mill Valley Care Center, Bellevue. 

Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at St. John's Lutheran Church, Bellevue, with the 
Rev. Solveig A.H. Zamzow officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery, where 
military rites will be accorded by the Bellevue American Legion Reveille Post 273. 
Friends may call after noon Tuesday at the church. The Kingery Funeral Home, 
Bellevue, is in charge of arrangements. 

Mr. McLean was a Bellevue Police Officer. 

He was born Aug. 15, 1915, son of Raymond L. and Vida (Phillips) McLean. He 
married Hazel B. Brinker May 10, 1950, in Tokyo, Japan; she died on May 31, 1992. 

He grew up and attended school in El Paso, Texas. He was a master sergeant in the 
Air Force for 25 years and moved to Bellevue after retiring from the military. He was a 
member of St. John's Lutheran Church, Bellevue, and the Bellevue American Legion 
Reveille Post 273. 

Surviving are two sisters-in-law, Betty McLean, of Wimberley, Texas, and Myrtle 
Schroeder, of Andrew, Iowa; and two brothers-in-law, Robert (Connie) Brinker, of 
Fullerton, Calif., and Roy (Jan) Brinker, of Bellevue. 

He also was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, William McLean. Edition:
