Union-News (Springfield, MA) — Tuesday, November 7, 1995
Milton H. Sherman, 66, a retired 22-year truck driver for Friendly's Ice Cream Corp., 
died Sunday in Riverhead. He retired in 1983. Born in Connecticut, he was a longtime 
resident of Brimfield, Mass., and lived here for a year and a half. He attended the 
Brimfield Congregational Church, and was a former member of the Monson Lions Club. 
He was a selectman in Brimfield in 1990-1993. He leaves his wife, the former Rita 
"Carol" Giglia; two sons, Milton Jr. of Brattleboro, Vt., and Ralph of Newfane, Vt.; 
three daughters, Deborah Bischoff of Jamaica, Vt., and Susan Lecours and Tracy 
Hermanson of Monson, Mass.; three stepdaughters, Susan Chamine, Nancy Wadhams, 
and Lori DeSivo of Long Island; three brothers, George B. Jr. of Frederica, Del., and 
John and Charles of Brimfield; a sister, Grace Arbour of Brimfield; 13 grandchildren. 
The funeral is Thursday afternoon at Beers & Story Funeral Home in Palmer, Mass., 
with burial in Brimfield Cemetery. Calling hours are Wednesday afternoon and evening 
at Beers & Story Funeral Home, and this afternoon and evening at F.J. McLaughlin 
Funeral Home in Riverhead. Memorial contributions may be made to any charity.
