Apparently the surname spelling changed, as he signs it that way in a letter reprinted
in the Christian Science Journal by Mary Baker Eddy, reprinted google books. In the
letter he expresses thanks for Christian Science. Says he has been healed of
astigmatism, very serious stomach trouble, enlarged heart, liver, and spleen. Explains
that he was on vacation in NY and returned to Denver and came down with a
carbuncle the size of an egg.
