Jacob was a miller. In 1849, he left Radnor, Pa., and moved to Goshen, Pa. Later he 
settled in Iowa. Jacob served as a hospital assistant during the Civil War.
Jacob was disowned by the Society of Friends for marrying Margaret, who was not a 
member.
After Jacob died, Margaret lived in Belmont Co., Ohio.
