BROOKFIELD - Nancy (Durbin) Bennett, 71, of 15 Post Road died Monday in 
Worcester County Hospital, Boylston. 

 Her husband, William E. Bennett, died in 1979. 

 She leaves a daughter, Lee Finney of Brookfield; and six grandchildren. She was 
born in Brookline, daughter of Vernon and Viola (Applebee) Durbin, and had lived here 
for six months since coming from Flinglerland, N.Y. 

 She had been a secretary for the Albany, N.Y. Board of Education for more than 25 
years retiring in 1984. 

 Private funeral services will be held at the convenience of the family. Cremation will 
be in Rural Crematory, Worcester. There are no calling hours. The family requests 
flowers be omitted and donations be made to a charity of the donor's choice. The 
Pillsbury Funeral Home, Old West Brookfield Road, Brookfield, is directing 
arrangements.
