1981 book:
Ebenezer sold to his brothers Daniel (1E5) and Benjamin () his share of his father's
farm. Ebenezer went to Baltimore, Md., in 1786, and moved to Richmond, Va., in
1792. In Richmond, he and his brother Thomas (1E6) built the first mills on the James
River, but sold out after suffering financial reverses. Ebenezer then went to seek his
fortune in Ohio but disease wiped out his family.
In 1786, Ebenezer was given a certificate for removal to Gunpowder MM,
Md.
