My children should find this "proof" that we are descended from Rurik to be a surprise.
Perhaps it is of interest to those descended from the people listed here.
Note how there is another Plantagenet descent in this line, as well
as another path through William de Warenne, 2d Earl of Surrey.

   "Master Edward Fitzrandolph", indicative
   of belonging to a good family.
In 1639, moved to Barnstable, Mass., on Cape Cod.
Was a juryman in 1641
His name appears on the 1643 list of those able to
    bear arms in the Plymouth colony.
Sold house on June 1, 1649 and
   moved to West Barnstable.
Moved family in 1669 to Piscataway, N.J.,
   because New England patriotism
   and religion were too restrictive.
Settled 2 miles from New Brunswick,
   near Randolphsville, N.J.
